This season, JW Marriott hotels worldwide hosted a variety of events and VIPs,
including a 12-year-old whose dreams came true in Dubai.
LONDON ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET
The JW MARRIOTT LONDON GROSVENOR HOUSE welcomed many
of Hollywood’s biggest stars for the o;cial British Academy of Film
and Television Arts’ (BAFTA) dinner and after-party, described by
many as British film’s biggest night of the year. Stars including Eddie
Redmayne, who received the award for Leading Actor for his performance in The Theory of Everything, and Julianne Moore, who collected
the award for Leading Actress in Still Alice, dined on Executive Chef
Nigel Boschetti’s exquisite menu, which featured Terrine of Roasted
& Smoked Salmon with Avocado & Crab Salad, followed by a Trio of
Beef, which included Braised Short Ribs, Beef Shin with an Herb Crust
and Beef Fillet, and ended with an Iced Cacao Nib Parfait.
Actor Michael Keaton was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and
his movie, Birdman, was nominated for Best Film.

JANEIRO celebrated the opening
of the new Moonlounge with a
cocktail reception for nearly 100
influencers, press and in-house
guests. The newest hot spot in Rio
to meet up with friends for drinks,
enjoy the sunset and stargaze over
world-famous Copacabana Beach
is an ephemeral space, open during the Brazilian summer from
Thursday to Sunday, 7 p.m. to 11
p.m., with a live DJ set on Fridays.
