the brews’ hops and barley. In addition to the selected treatment, the
package includes a voucher for a beer at the featured breweries, including Founders Brewing Co. and Brewery Vivant.
Guests Greeted with International Art Experience in
With the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art scheduled for closure until
2016, the JW MARRIOTT SAN FRANCISCO UNION SQUARE has transformed its first floor into a gallery showcasing the work of 15 artists from
around the world. The hotel has partnered with refusalon, a renowned Bay
Area gallery that features the works of contemporary artists, to create a
captivating art experience for guests and the local community. Visitors will
find a distinctive collection of art in a kaleidoscope of mediums, including a
gravity-defying sculpture of intertwined lovers by Pino Signoretto, one of
the world’s preeminent glass sculptors, to an ethereal seaweed installation
by recent San Francisco Art Institute graduate, Dimitra Skandali. The collection will evolve throughout the year and will feature works by renowned
as well as emerging artists.
Drink to Your Health
Ever since New Orleans barkeep Antoine Peychaud created the Sazerac,
one of the first known American cocktails, spirit-based libations have
evolved to meet the trending tastes of cocktail drinkers. At JW Marriott
bars and lounges, mixologists are finding creative ways to meet our
guests’ desire for healthier drinks while still delivering a satisfying and
tasty experience. It begins with the ingredients: fresh juices instead of
pre-made mixers, raw honey replacing refined sugars, and garnishes
plucked from the hotel herb garden, no longer the sole domain of
JW chefs. Wine drinkers, too, will find more options that appeal to
their sense of well-being with lower-calorie wines becoming standard
fare on JW wine menus. Ask our sommeliers about Brancott Estate’s
Flight Song Sauvignon Blanc and Flight Song Pinot Grigio, two refreshing white wines available now through the end of June.
