SETTING A RECORD FOR
HIGHER LEARNING IN SHANGHAI
Always striving for new heights when cultivating
enriching guest experiences, the JW MARRIOTT
SHANGHAI AT TOMORROW SQUARE took the
endeavor to a whole new level when it won a Guinness
World Records title for the “Highest Library from
Ground Level.” Situated at 230.9m (approximately 758
feet) above street level, the hotel executive library
on the 60th floor houses more than 2,000 books and
materials comprising English and Chinese classics,
architecture, philosophy, history, art and art history,
as well as classical and contemporary literature.
The library and its collection is available to all guests
and provides a private and relaxing space to delve
deeper into the local culture.
SIGNATURE HONEY SWEETENS
THE SEASON IN DUBAI
A common ingredient of Middle Eastern cuisine,
honey plays a substantial role in the culinary
world of the JW MARRIOTT MARQUIS DUBAI.
So much so that the world’s tallest hotel decided
to create its own signature honey, Sweet Gold.
Developed in partnership with Alexandre Stern,
a world-renowned honey designer, this Persian-inspired creation is nuanced by saffron notes in
a tribute to the ancient culture and offers the
perfect balance between sugar and acidity. In
addition to being used by JW chefs throughout
the hotel’s kitchens, Sweet Gold provides the
perfect complement to the Tchaba tea favored
by many of the hotel’s guests.
