CULINARY ART@JW PROVIDES FOOD FOR THE SEOUL
The JW passion for authentic culinary experiences was on full display when
six globally acclaimed chefs descended on the JW MARRIOTT SEOUL for
the second installment of “Culinary Art@JW,” a unique month-long global
gourmet project. Each of the hotel’s five restaurants and lounge hosted a
star chef who unleashed their unique talents to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind dining experience. From dim sum to filet mignon, from Middle
Eastern favorites to Mediterranean specialties, guests enjoyed highly curated
culinary events that included cooking classes, food and wine pairings, and
exceptional multicourse meals. The event culminated in a grand gala dinner,
a dazzling event that saw all six international guest chefs come together
with 230 invited guests, including popular actor Kwon Oh-joong, star of
Korean cooking shows Gourmet and The Grand Chef.

HOSTS LGBT GALA
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC)—the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization in the United States—hosted its 2014 Los Angeles
Gala at the JW MARRIOTT LOS ANGELES L.A. LIVE.
Vice President Joe Biden, accompanied by Dr. Jill Biden,
delivered the keynote address as special guests, including Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Reid Scott and Meredith
Baxter, looked on. HRC represents a grassroots force of
more than 700,000 members and supporters nationwide, and envisions an America where LGBT people
are ensured of their basic equal rights and can be open,
honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
JW COCKTAILS MAKE A SPLASH
Best known as a ski mecca, Aspen, Colorado is also the
go-to destination for culinary luminaries each summer
when it hosts the annual FOOD & WINE Classic.
JW Marriott was a featured exhibitor at the Grand
Tasting, enlisting the help of beverage expert Tad
Carducci of the Tippling Bros. to create two refreshing wellness cocktails inspired by its upcoming resort
openings in Venice and Cabo. Festivalgoers were
invited to select their favorite location for a chance to
attend the 2015 hotel grand opening of their choice.
The stylish JW Lounge attracted top talent and visitors
including FOOD & WINE editor Kate Krader, Yahoo!
Travel editor Paula Froelich, and celebrity chefs Jose
Andres, Tim Love and Scott Conant.
